The range of Bohle blending systems shows the flexibility of our engineering and manufacturing departments. Bohle blenders can be adjusted and used in any imaginable pharmaceutical production situation. No matter what kind of container you use, round and square, Bohle blenders can handle them with excellent blending results.
The benefits of the 1000 Blender:
- Reduces batch blending times to 15 to 20 minutes
- Effective mixing from 20 to 85% of total container volume
- Low rotational blending speeds improve tablet hardness
- Blends dry materials
Homogeneous blending of dry powder batches
One of the Bohle Bin-Blending Systems, the PM 1000 reduces manufacturing times by increasing pharmaceutical processing rates. With quick homogenous blending of dry powder batches, the blender reduces blending times to 15 to 20 minutes. Blender efficiency is maintained at 85% container volume, allowing the blender to process more product in one batch. Low rotational speeds also ensure blend quality of ingredients while reducing machine wear and product dusting.
Patented Blending Elements
The PM 1000 can blend IBC with or without the Bohle patented blending elements. The blender is also equipped with an integrated intensifier bar for closed bin systems. This high-shear blending technology is ideal for trials and demonstrations for challenging blends such as:
- Low active ingrediate distribution
- High moisture content ingredients
- Legacy products that were validated with similar techonlogy
Effective Blending
The PM 1000 blender's counter-current process provides an effective mixing volume from 20 to 85% of total container volume based on a product density of 0.2 to 1.2 kg/dm3. It handles load capacities up to 900 kg, and can use IBCs that range from 300-1400 liters.
With low rotational speeds of 2 to 6 rpm, the PM 1000 ensures uniform, gentle mixing that leads to better tablet hardness. An uncomplicated tumbling motion results in reduced power consumption and blender wear and tear.
An adjustable lifting column transports containers of materials, enabling fast and dust-free filling, blending and discharge. Blending containers have an inner lid for filling procedures. For greater flexibility, containers are exchangeable for different volume process runs. An extended hoist enables blender use as a milling station for bin-to-bin transfer.
